The Registry of Deeds is one of Dukes County's oldest departments, dating back to 1641. Register Paulo C DeOliveira, an elected official, is responsible for recording of all documents at the Registry of Deeds including property transfers from all seven towns within Dukes County. The Registry of Deeds is located at the Dukes County Courthouse, 81 Main Street, Edgartown.
